Prima 12 days of Christmas Day 10, color bloom sprays.

I waited until the very last minute to make my cards as I was waiting for all my new Prima goodies that I ordered to participate.  They have not arrived and apparently are due on the 18th.  At the last minute I decided I would at least attempt an entry to a few of the data challenges, but ran out of time after just 2 cards. Oh well, there is always next year!

I used color bloom spray in emerald, gold foil and guilder foil, Prima Finnabair Mechanicals, Prima flowers ( including my white lady bird flowers – thank you Cari and fotobella.com), wood icon bird, and   Prima lace flowers and doilies. I tried to use my Finn technique again that I learned in her class!

I let my Prima Valentina flowers shine on this card with just a touch of gold foil and cotton candy color bloom spray.  I used  gold  foil to “paint” the sentiment.

12 Days of Christmas Prima Card

My fourth card for the Prima 12 days of Christmas uses the Day 5 Special Delivery Kit.  This Card/tin which will hold a gift card was made with an empty recycled Godiva hot chocolate tin.  I have recycled many bottles and cans to turn into thank you cards for relatives and friends instead of throwing them away.    I used North Country paper to cover the can, the Jubilee Holiday resin wreath on the top with some flowers from the kit,  I added some more of the flowers from the kit and cut out the Day 2 dies, doily die 2 and purple die flowers and squished them into dimensional flowers and added some Day 7 siic from the  special delivery kit.  I then sprayed with Day 9 color bloom sprays in lime wedge, gold foil and antique gold,  I also added Day 4 resist canvas borders around the top of the can.

I used some of the north country paper to emboss the words merry Christmas in white to add to the bottom of my can card.

Prima 12 Days of Christmas Card

This is my second entry for the Prima 12 days of Christmas challenge at the Prima Blog

This entry is for the Day 2 Prima Metal Die challenge (doilies two, leaves).  I used paper from the  Day 5, Prima special delivery kit (North Country 8×8 pad)   I wanted to use a die in a manner different than its intended use so I thought that 2 of the leaves looked like upside down Christmas Trees if I nipped a little here and there!  I added a little art basics gesso  Day 3, Finnabair products, for a snowy effect and some prima color bloom spray in white for a snow effect  on the paper, Day 9 Color Bloom Sprays, some prima flowers (Lyric and Holiday Jubilee), While the gesso was wet I added art ingredients granite mica flakes – Day 3 – to give some sparkle Day 7 wood icons for the small Christmas tree sprinkled with art sugar Day 1 glitter and 3 Finnabair.  I tried to take some pictures in different light but unfortunately I am definitely not a photographer!

May Prima Product Pick (PPP)

I am entering the May PPP Prima challenge with some cards I made for my Mom and Mother-in-Law. My husband took us all out for a beautiful Sunday Mother’s Day brunch with a harpist playing. I decided to fussy cut one of the princess Atc cards with the angel playing a harp for my first card as a reminder of our special brunch. I used lots of Prima Princess products as this is my Favorite line and I think I bought at least 2 of everything from this line so you can see I used lots of coordinating items here! I also received and used my new Prima color blooms that I purchased from http://www.thescrapbookdiaries.com!! I bought the whole set as it was too hard to pick my favorites (all of them??)

I love the new stencils and the tassels are so pretty too.  Even though I have had them for a while I used my sizzix Prima butterflies for the first time along with the big flourish die (Classique).  I had a lot of fun putting these together and both Mother’s enjoyed their cards immensely.

April Prima’s Build-a-Page Challenge

I decided I wanted incentive to use my new Princess Collection by Jodie Lee so I am entering 2 pages for this month’s challenges at Prima.  The pictures are my twins on Easter Sunday wearing Grandma’s sweaters that she knitted for them. Perfect for a beautiful April day.  I just received notice that my color bloom sprays were shipped today – too late for my project!

The sketch for April is as follows
